Hi there,
I've been experiencing some issues with my Samsung Notebook NPQX410 lately that I cannot tackle on my own. I'll do my best to provide you with all the information needed.
Windows 7 Home premium, 64 bit. 8 GB RAM
I noticed my software running slowly, taking longer and longer to boot up, then in the middle of loading or closing a program, the system will just shut down. I uninstalled some unneeded programs, clean disk then defrag with no improvement. I restored to an earlier time and moved some pics, video and documents to D drive thinking it was an issue with space on the C drive. Last night I ran a dskchk and sfc scan from command prompt. received a message that corrupt files were found and repaired. I have the CBS.log report if you need it. I'm thinking your SF diagnostic tool may contain that information, if not I'm happy to attach.
Aside from having a stable system, I'm looking to have my most important software run correctly. I use Wilcom DecoStudio e2 ( a Corel product) daily to digitize for embroidery.
I'm pretty much stuck in limbo with customers waiting until I can access my software.
windows says that my drivers are up to date, but I cannot connect to my HP printer. I installed latest driver anyway, but still nogo.
Thanks so much for making your brains and know-how available like this.

Layback Bear,
THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY. Do you mean run the program as admin?
I can set the default start up folder, meaning where the program will look for saved designs upon start up, maybe changing that location will make a difference?
Do you have any thoughts about windows not seeing my printer? It was printing one day, not the next.

Yes try to run form admin. Will the printer work using other programs such as note pad or word pad. If the printer works normal from other programs to me that means the Corel program is causing the problem. The Corel/DecoStudio is the problem and their website might have the answer.

The printer doesn't print from any program. After loading the updated printer, I tried to print PDF, word doc, and from UPS website, all of which I do on a regular basis.
I have a post on the Wilcom forum that is for issues like these, but no response yet.
I've never really had much luck with their "support" department.
There is an option to revert back to original settings, but I was trying to avoid it as the hot fix links on their site are now dead links. I figured it might be difficult to get anyone to provide me with those given my past experience with support.
I am still concerned about the system just shutting down. Was there anything in the SF diagnostic that indicates the cause?

I'm no expert at these things but I noticed a CrlFrmWk.dll problem with Corel. When Googled CrlFrmWk.dll (you should) their are many things that can cause it. From not a legal or a Trial out of time program to editing the registry to a virus. I also noticed you have AVG as a anti virus and it can cause all kinds of problems. That's why many use MSE.
Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows
SFC /SCANNOW should be run 3 times with a boot between each. Can you remove Corel programs and see if the printer will work. I never assume their is one problem. Having a clean computer is a must. Defender Off Line is another respected program for getting rid of infections.

Maybe your'e no expert but you have certainly provided me with some very useful information! thanks. I did as you suggested and gooogled CrlFrmWk.dll. As I read through the possibilities, I was thinking to myself (with sarcasm) "that sure narrows things down".
In your opinion, would I be better off to hunt this problem down and try to repair it, or swipe it all and re-install?
I tried to uninstall the Corel today and received error reports that prohibited the whole thing, then locked everything up.

Well it's worry some when you can't remove a program. If it was my computer I would run Windows Defender Offline. We need to know whether you are infected or not and what the infection is if you are infected. Once we have the answer to that we can continue. To many strange things happing at one time. I have some ideas but we need to know if their is a infection. Some are worth chasing down and some need stronger actions.
