on winxp, when I defrag on a drive, and click to see the analyze report, i would get a list of most fragmented files. Ex:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fragments File Size Most fragmented files
94,735 452 MB \WINNT\sxdata\shadow
4,043 36 KB \WINNT\system32\config\software.LOG
2,727 173 MB \WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\SetupCache\Client\netfx_core.mzz
1,468 92 MB \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft Help\MS.VSCC.v80_2057_MKWD_A.HxW
1,461 91 MB \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft Help\MS.MSDNQTR.v80.en_2057_MKWD_A.HxW
1,381 122 MB \PricingServer\CDriveCopy\CoreCalcAndDataItemsD.pdb

But on Win7, when I run defrag C: /A /V, I get a summary report, but no list of most fragmented files. Is there any way to see the list in win7?

Welcome to the forums!

I personally use Auslogics defragger for my very limited defragging needs but heres what Microsoft says about it:

Defrag Windows 7 18-Mar-10 07:01 AM

Auslogics free defragger does give you the list that you're looking for, but as I said I really don't use Microsofts. Maybe someone else can give you more pertinent information.
