I have a portable copy of Win 7 running from an external USB drive.
For obvious reasons I have the swap file disabled (actually if I try to enable it it doesn't even want to live on a removable drive anyway).
In advanced -> startup and recovery I have everything unchecked/disabled, write debug info = none
Everything works fine, but I keep logging Event ID 46 "crash dump initialization failed" when I reboot because the dump file usually uses the swapfile to write dumps and it doesn't exist.
Is there a way to stop the initialization of the crash dumps, or to specify a log level to exclude logging this event?
I know I can filter the log to ignore these events but I would rather not log them at all.
