Win7 Explorer - select items only on filename

hi there,

i am looking for a special windows 7 explorer tweak, which for the life of me i can not remember what it was.

i managed to set up my explorer in a way so that items (files & folders) are only selected when the selection area contains the filenames. picture to clarify:

on a different pc, i freshly installed w7 and now want to do the same there, but can not remember how i did it. right now it is the "classic" aka "disgusting" way of windows 7:

i tried replacing the ExplorerFrame.dll with one i found in this forum, but did not help.

Can anybody point me to this tweak? i am dying to get it again ...

*Note: pic 1 is also windows 7, though it looks like good old XP *

select one item, then hold down CTRL and proceed to individually select remaining items

my issue is not about selecting different items...

i am annoyed by the fact that w7 selects items that i dont want to be selected. For example, when i draw a rectangle in the size-column, lines get marked, but i want them not to be marked unless i draw the rectangle on their filenames.

i had a specific tweak for that, making explorer look and feel like in wXP, which i dont remember anymore. when i moved on to w7, i experimented A LOT with customs and tweaks, but this one has escaped my memory...

hope anyone can identify this one and point me to it
