Solved Win7 font saving

How can i save my win7 font-style? Bcus I have many themes, and i dont wanna be set it again and again.. Someone help pls! :shock:

Are you using third-party custom themes if so each theme will have its own font style.

What I mean by third-party custom theme is are you using a custom theme that you downloaded from let's say Browsing Visual Styles 7 on deviantART
Or
Are you using the default Windows 7 Aero theme?

hi Jerry!
i stilll have my problem, but im learned a lot!
now i know whats mean 3rd part themes.. yes, i use a lot 3rd part themes..
but the matter is that, i wanna use all of them. if i feel that, i wanna choose one, but the next day an other one.. i can do that without change my font settings?? i know i can save my varied theme. but i have 140 themes, and i would set the font at once.. can u understand me?

No you cannot each third-party custom theme has it's own font built in.

There is one more thing that you could do it would be time-consuming, you could change all the fonts one theme at a time to get what you want each theme would probably take about 5 min.

but i dont understand it i dont have that longhorn.m6... folder.. so i cant open anything with the Restorator. :S

That Longhorn file is just an example they used. You will open up the .mstyles with Restorator by navigating to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\YOUR THEME FOLDER and then follow from step two down.

but i dont have .mstyles-files nor.. :S
i just have .theme-files, and some folders with theme's pics. :S
im not a stupid but, already i begin feel that.

but my Aero-theme have msstyles.. will be it work, if i cover the tutarial?
and if i put back the original folder, why will it change my all themes font? it just the aero or not?
i dont know it matter something, but my themes are in other folder..
in windows/user/user/loca/microisoft/windows/themes

Do not edit the aero.mstyles
Post a screenshot of C:\Windows\Resources\Themes in the maximized window so I can see what you have for themes.

That helped clear up a lot for me.
The themes you have in the 1st screenshot cannot be changed with Restorator and Notepad++ the only way to change the fonts in them would be to start the theme one by one and editing each one through Windows Color and Appearance in using the drop-down menu selecting each item and changing the font where it can be changed and then saving it using one of the tutorials I posted earlier. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/280-theme-change-save.html


You are not using third-party custom themes you are using ThemePacks

and how can i change the folderbackground, and foldericons? i saw a program in youtube, but that, doesn't change all of them. :S

These are third-party themes Browsing Visual Styles 7 on deviantART someone made these from scratch most of them were probably made with Windows Style Builder if you notice some of the screenshots I have posted that is a third-party custom theme.

These are ThemePack By Microsoft

To change the folder background color I use Windows Style Builder
To change the icons you need a resource hacker to edit the system .dll
