B4 I start, thank you to all who have helped others out and anyone who may help me out with this minor(and prob very trivial issue). I am running Win7 Home Prem 64-Bit which I purchased after March 1st(D-Day for RC users). I have most everything working fine with minor issues being de-bugged as they come up. However this one has me snagged. My backup will not see my second HDD for saving. Not sure why, the closet I came to finding an answer in my searches, said something about my 2nd HDD not being seen by the backup app because it was set to healthy(system, active, primary partition). I am PC literate of course but far from OS savvy. Not sure what kind of info may be needed for this type of problem but i will be watching this thread with eyes open.
Just trying to use my backup like it used to in the RC. I have heard it will not work within Win7 Home Prem and believe that to be a loaded crock. I am not trying to "Network Backup", just trying to back up my c:drive(Win7) on my WD 680gb 1st partition onto my separate internal WD 1tb HDD. Same Workstation, PC, Rig, or whatever You want to call it.

Thank You for any and all questions and/or assistance.

Could be a lot fewer headaches just to use something like Macrium Reflect Free edition. You can back up a partition as an image and store it on another partition or external drive. Also even the free edition lets you mount the image as a read-only drive in Explorer. That way if you just want to copy a few files or a folder out, you just drag & drop in Explorer.

I use the free version on Windows7 32 bit. And I use the paid version on Vista64 SP1. Both work fine. Both let you burn a boot CD. If your HD gets scrambled you boot the CD then use the restore program to restore the partition that got messed up.

The paid version also does regular file and folder backup but I've never bothered with that. Odd files and folders I just drag & drop to an external USB for backup.

Thats all well in good. But I am just trying to enable what already functions just how I like it to. Win7 Back-Up did just fine for me with the RC 7100 Build. Its just since I clean installed Win7 Full I cant get backup to see my E:Drive(WD 1TB with 350GB of free space) And I have my C:Drive(which is only Win7 Home 64-bit OS) holding a partition of 200GB with the remaining Free GB left over making up my D:drive Partition(which is 396GB). So both C and D Drive are on my WD 680GB HDD(which backup only showing the D:Drive for my back up options). Of course a crazy thing is that it also shows my H:Drive(which is my DVDRW, of course not realistically being an option).
