Cheers guys,
One short question, related to my Asus S400CA laptop. It has a hybrid drive with 2 parts, a 24 GB SSD and a bigger HDD. As far as I read, the SSD is used for caching. As SO, it was provided with Win8 preinstalled, however I wanted to switch to Win7.
Now, the question is: can I perform a clean win 7 install on the SSD? Or should I use the normal HDD for this.
Actually it is a postfactum question, since I tried this already.
It did it via external dvd drive, but after install finishes, at first reboot it does not boot into windows. It just stays in a loop between the ASUS splashscreen and a black screen with a cursor blinking in upper left corner.
(secure boot disabled of course). Looks like it cannot find the SO from the SSD, even if in BIOS I selected the SSD as boot option #1.
Thanks for help.
