Win7 keeps losing my local area connection

when watching videos or surfing the net i keep losing my internet connection and windows can fix the problem by resetting my local area connection. worked fine on win vista. router is a wrt160 hardwired to my comp. i have disabled ipv6. all new firmware. thanks

I see no reason to disable IPv6, it has never bothered my setup.
Have your checked to find all your adapters, under system, open ea one and make sure the "All this device to turnoff to save power" IS NOT CHECKED.

Some systems have a many adapters as 3... make sure every adapter is set the same. "NOT TO ALLOW DEVICES TO TURNOFF TO SAVE POWER."
 
I to was losing connection and sure enough I had the save power checked. I hope this fixes that issue. Thanks for help.
