Hi

I have a server 2008 Domain Controller and 35 Windows7 desktops. If a user was to lock a desktop, is the only way to unlock to "switch user" and start task manager to disconnect a user?

Used to be with a XP locked desktop in a domain, you could simply CTRL-ALT-DEL and log over a user with a "As you sure you want to logout htis user" message.

Any other setting, GPO, local settings to change that?

Thanks

B.

That is because xp in domain environment can only have 1 user logged on at a time. So anyone logging in will prompt to kick the user out.

In vista and 7 yes if a user is logged on and someone switches user, the only way to log them off is to have the user do it, restart the pc, or task manager disconnect.
