I HAD POSTED A SIMILIAR THREAD IN RESTORE AND BACKUP SECTION WHICH I THINK IS NOT AN APPROPRIATE SECTION FOR THIS QUESTION SO POSTING HERE AGAIN WITH MORE DETAILS.

I had this problem last night , my laptop became dead slow at 1st then while browsing it hanged completely and I could not even start task manager , I restarted it by holding the power button and it showed toshiba logo and then a black screen , with blinking cursor, I turned it off after sometime because it was not booting and started looking for the solution. I found the remove battery n charger , hold power for 60sec thing but when I turned it on before applying the method it booted normally now after some hours it became dead slow so I restarted it by going to start > restart and it restarted but again the black screen and white cursor , So after trying 10 times f8 it did not work (win recovery ) I tried the battery removing thing ,still no help, not to forget num lock light is on , fans are working , but i can not do anything else

UPDATE:
I ran a bootable kapersky rescue . it showed no virus, then I rebooted it was the same , i rebooted again n the window booted normally with normal super speed as usual, i shut down twice and turn on and it worked, but when I restarted it when to the black screen again n is still the same.
I remember the 1st time when this happened last night was when I restarted it , because it became too slow,
So now I got a point that it is having problem when restarted.

PLEASE SUGGEST ME WHAT TO DO . IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN SIMPLY GOTO THE REPAIR MENU AND REINSTALL THE WINDOW TO SEE IF IT HELPS OR IS THERE ANY AUTO BOOTABLE SOFTWARE WHICH CAN FIND AND FIX THE PROBLEM OR ATLEAST START THE REPAIR WINDOW.
I AM USING WIN7 HOMEBASIS CAME PRE INSTALLED WITH MY TOSHIBA C660SATELLITE

Hi from Sevenforums,

I would backup straight using Acronis 30 day trial you should be able to make a boot disk choose one of the options.

Award-winning PC backup software - Acronis True Image 2014

You can use Macrium Reflect and create a boot disk:
Award-winning PC backup software - Acronis True Image 2014

Do it from another computer.

Ensure you have recovery disks that you should have burned first bootup of computer.

Do a data video, music and documents etc. backup. DO system and data backup.

You can then do a recovery using disks or recovery partition follow the prompts.

I do not have a recovery disk from the 1st system and its the main problem, I downloaded an iso of startup repair amd tried it , it did not repair as ofcourse it was not a full window but when I performed a startup repair check it showed no error , when restarted the laptop booted fine, then I used for about 3 h o u r s , hibernated it and slept now when I woke up it showed me boot failed for a very little time about 3/10 part of a second and now the repair iso is not working either, gets into loading forever

Boot into BIOS setup to reset to Defaults. BIOS setup will show which key to press on first screen.

While in BIOS setup see if the hard drive is detected under Storage, SATA, or Boot order. It will usually be represented by a model number which if you google will tell you the make and model. Then download and burn to CD the maker's HD Diagnostic to boot and run a full scan: How to Boot A Computer from CD or DVD - YouTube

Alternately if you can boot into Win7 or Safe Mode you can install CrystalDiskInfo - Software to read the hard drive condition.

Next do the RAM test and then the other steps from Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start. Report back results of each step or more questions on how to perfom each step.

The steps lead up to if necessary rescuiing your files using the Win7 disk, then running Toshiba Recovery from its key at boot, or doing the superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. But I would be sure your hardware is sound before proceeding with either, and try some of the steps to repair Win7 to see if it will budge.

I really appreciate your help ,
Here is the scene now, I downloaded a startup repair iso from internet and created a bootable usb from it , when I boot from It and goto repair menu I do not get the HDD recovery option but I tried startup repair and It showed no error and when I click restart the window boots normally but when I again shut down or restart it goes to the black screen, I used this trick and after I click restart in startup repair menu , I spammed f8 and it took me to the repair menu , I re installed the window through hdd recovery but when the recovery finished and it said to restart to continue setup, I restarted and it went to black screen again, So, I used the bootable usb again and this time it started the remaining window installation , while installation it restarted the laptop for more 30 times (44 drivers were installed and restart after almost every driver) , the restart was normal, when installation completed it showed me my WIFI connection , I connected , the window got activated and so did the mcafee (30 day trail by toshiba), then every step got completed , desktop got loaded and it asked for a final restart to complete all process. So I clicked restart and again, the black screen , I reused the usb and again it worked the same way with showing no startup error > click restart > normal booting.
Now the window is fully installed , pc speed is awesome everything is fine.
I ran the builtin toshiba diagnostic and here is its result:

I downloaded the
Windows Diagnostic Tool Ver. 1.12
(For IDE/ATA/SATA Hard Drives)
from toshiba and ran it , but its only for fujitsu drives,

I downloaded CrystalDiskInfo 6.1.12 Windows Executable(2,773,664 bytes/MD5: e0482fee46823a213d3283f116962da6)

and its result is as follow:
25uh1s2.png

Only on of the option is yellow all other are blue, as you can see in the picture too.

Now as mention in the trouble shooting article , I am going to run a sfc /scannow check but It wants me to restart the system , SO I am posting this update and going to restart hoping to get a clean restart.
I will post back other test results in some time.

I would not use MacAfee. We see more problems from it than any other. Uninstall in Control Panel and using the special tool required to uninstall bloated AV's from Uninstallers (removal tools) for common antivirus software - ESET Knowledgebase.

Then work through these steps to Clean Up Factory Bloatware. Just turning off all the crap at Startup will improve performance quite a bit, but you will still have the factory Win7 which is the worst install one can have.

Actually I also do not like mcafee and every time when I reinstall my window the first thing I do is to remove McAfee , I already uninstalled it through cpanel and will now use the other tool to see if more is to be removed.
Well toshiba gives a lot of software's to work with and I think most of them are useful too like nero premium which is licensed for 10 years, also ms office full version (got a key in with the laptop) and some more , so actually I like some features of the factory win , Additionally in my country its impossible to find a GENUINE WINDOW , I bet there is not a single shop/supplier with a genuine window , you can find the worlds best pirated window but no genuine so its the 2nd reason I like the genuine win .

I was also looking to turn off the startup items because its acting slow at the desktop loading , do you think it would be a good idea to goto run > msconfig > startup items > disable all ?
or you can recommend any other way .

If you click on Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 you will see that the Win7 installer is provided in Step 1 with tool to burn to DVD or flash stick in Step 2. You already own the license for the life of the PC, so this gives the ability to have a decent install.

Then if you click Clean Up Factory Bloatware it shows how to disable all of the startups in two places, as well as other steps to try to improve performance with the factory install.

Thanks a lot, you have been very helpful,
About the win7 installer, I already read that but I have a problem, the microsoft label at the base of the pc , they key is almost invisible , only 1st 8 characters are clearly seen and remaining are completely gone , so its a problem because the tutorial says :
Write down the Product Key from COA sticker located on back or side of PC tower, bottom or under battery of notebook. Make sure you get the characters correct as this is a main cause of activation failure. You can input or Skip the key during install then afterwards activate at Control Panel>System, which may require a quick robocall.

Yes, then that is a problem. If you can't make out the Product Key then the only option we can support is to run Toshiba Factory Recovery. How to recover a Toshiba notebook with the HDD recovery procedure

You can rescue any files which were not backed up using Step 6 in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start which also has a whole list of things to try to repair it so it will boot.

If it will not run then you'll need to order recovery Disks from Toshiba for your model. Toshiba Europe Backup Media Online Shop - Country Selection

Once you've run Recovery then improve performance by Cleaning Up Factory Bloatware

There is a way to back up and reinstall the Factory SLP activation file after Clean Reinstall which you can further research, but we cannot support it here.

Ok , I got a tutorial for extracting OEM licensing information prior to installing a clean (non cr@pware) version of Windows 7 , I am really grateful for your help.

I used a keyfinder software to find the keys, and it is showing me to things
1. product id
2. cd key

so will I be able to use this cd key/product key , if I do a clean install or do I need the slp certificate to do the installation completely

No the key in a factory install is not the Product Key needed for reinstalling, but is a batch key used to activate at factory. So it cannot be used.

Can you determine the key on COA sticker with a magnifying glass?

If not I already gave you the options available, including the ones which we can support.
