I recently noticed that my system volume C: was also mounted as Y: The system is functioning OK, but this is worrisome. I did two things to verify that they are the same volume: I created a folder at root on Y: named "I am Y". I found this folder at root on C: Using MOUNTVOL C: /L on both drives, I verified their ID's were identical.

Having just done a full backup of everything, I deleted the Y: mapping using MOUNTVOL Y: /D

The unwanted volume disappeared from Explorer and all seemed well. Then I booted the machine and Y: reappeared as before.

It seems that there is a command buried somewhere that is executed at startup that mounts this volume. I need to know where it is and how I can change it.

Thanks in advance.
