Problem:
Uploads using SMTP/FTP/HTTP protocols on LAN & WLAN time out.

Set up:
* ASUS U80V WIN7 machine (OEM) - fresh from the shelf
* Download works well.
* WIN7 firewall deactivated.
* WORKGROUP network.
* No AntiVirus application installed.
* Uploads using XP box in same network work with no problems.
* ISP says it has nothing to do with the router.
* Deactivated IPV6
* Latest driver for Network Adapter installed
* Tried uploading in SAFE mode -> failed
* None of the common "speed tests" completes
- download check is ok
- upload usually ends with "Upload test returned an error while trying to read the upload file"
* ISP: Telefonica (Spain), Router COMTREND CT-535 (pretty ancient)

Strange enough upload works from office location (other router/ISP/network)

... what else can I do? tx!

Change from Homegroup to workgroup. Homegroup is for win7 only. Uses IPv6, workgroup is for mixed environments, uses IPv4. to verify create a new network connection using the workgoup model. If it works disable IPv6 and kill homegroup.

Let us know if you need help
