I thought I would update.
My PC started having the exact same issues again in July. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a months sometimes more. Recently it was daily or even 3-4 times per day.
After reading the G.Skill forums and talking to the techs, they believe it is a memory issue.
For anyone having BSOD etc issues, I believe the I7 2600/2500 family chipsets are very picky about RAM. Search on gigabytes website, GSkills etc... and you will see dozens of posts. I hope this RMA will fix my issues :/
My PC also started to have this freezing problems during july/aug thats when I started using SP1,

If there are freezing problems try removal of SP1 and see if it works.
As removal of SP1 works for me, do try it and let me know at least I am not the only 1 experiencing problem with SP1.
I dont experience BSOD, if you are experiencing BSOD then this might not be for you.
Count me lucky to be able to replace many parts for free, from ASUS, as a part of troubleshooting to ensure that my hardwares are functioning properly.
