Hi everybody. First post on here looking for some help with iTunes. First off I have ultimate 64 bit and just wiped my whole pc and put a fresh load on it. I downloaded iTunes(64 version) and installed and it worked fine. Now I can only open it once after every reboot. I can open it once and it's fine but as soon as I close it and try to open it back up again the icon highlights at the bottom like its going to open but then it justs fades away. In task manger under processes it shows that it's running but it will not open. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it, tried to repair it, and wiped my whole pc as stated before. After a reboot I can open it again but after i close it, it will not open. Willing to try any suggestions or provide anymore information. Thank you for taking your time to read my post and any help is greatly appreciated.

First, welcome to Sevenforums Christian!

Now, have you installed all important windows updates and drivers for your devices? Here is how to set windows update to find drivers for you:

You can check Windows Update at any time to see if it found new drivers and icons for your hardware, especially if you recently installed a new device. If you want to have Windows Update automatically check for the latest drivers and icons, here's how:
  1. Open Devices and Printers by clicking the Start button
    4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg
, and then, on the Start menu, clicking Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click the name of your computer, and then click Device installation settings.
  3. Click Yes, do this automatically (recommended), and then click Save changes.

If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation

If Yes is already selected, click Cancel to close the dialog box.

If you let Windows automatically download drivers and information about your devices, your hardware is more likely to work properly.

You might consider downloading a program such as Revo uninstaller free to look for traces of corrupt iTunes files that it can delete before installing it new. Be careful when using such a program: http://www.revouninstaller.com/start_freeware_download.html

I have found the problem but not sure how to go about it. When I launch iTunes for the first time after a reboot it opens up all the apple stuff under processes including APSDaemon.exe. Under description it says apple push. Any ways after I close iTunes and try to launch it again it will not but open but if I go to task manager and close that process I can open iTunes again and it works fine. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help given already.

APSDaemon.exe is apple push, for wireless syncing apple devices. It isn't needed, do you have something called push in control panel, cause you might try to remove it

Nothing called push or apple push or anything like that. I've searched around and they say its is part of iCloud which I use to back-up everything on my phone. I can just keep ending the process for now which takes only a few seconds oppose to restarting the whole pc until a better solution is found. Thank you very much for your help

That is a newer service so there might still be some bugs needing to be worked out. But you are right, it is iCloud.

Hope they fix it soon
