What? NO! Fraunhofer's AAC Codec? What the hell?! REPLACED CT enc_aacplus.dll with new FhG enc_fhgaac.dll ?! WHY?! There was nothing wrong with the original from Coding Technologies, it's the only goddamn reason I used the piece of crap player in the first place!

They ain't gonna do squat, Fraunhofer was providing their awful version of the MP3 codec for a long time now, so that's not gonna change.

The worst part is that I had to redo ALL the compression tests I did all those years ago, and I can clearly hear the difference between this new one and the original codec, even at the same bitrate. Someone has to die xD

Don't upgrade to the latest if you don't like what they have done????

This IS the latest, but at this point there's no reason for sticking with the old version and never updating again. In time the codec I grew to like so much will be outdated, and Winamp was pretty much the only one who updated it regularly.
