No problems here so far.
But do you mean when you chose to play a new track, or when it just moves on to the next track in the playlist?

Also, which build are you using?

when moving to a new track on the playlist, and its starting to look like it only happens when i have winamp running in the desktop background, rather than hidden.

im using build 7000 of windows, and 5.541 of winamp

Hmm...weird.
Well, I'm using the same version of Winamp.
Maybe some issue with a plug-in, or skin?

Glad you could resolve it.
What skin did you use? I would like to see if it also crashes for me.

I seem to have fixed the problem myself by messing with the Winamp options. I basically turned off anything that Updated files or file names, or accessed anything for additional information on the file being played (Local, Lan, or Internet means). It seems to have done the trick. If you need me to post my exact setting if you can't figure it out; I will be more than happy to help out. Best of luck!

Yes, it crashes for me too! I'm using 5.56, Big bento skin. Not every time it changes songs, but random. once every playlist at least.

Can u tell me ur solution exactly, did it solve the problem?

Hey you may find like me you had an instant messenger playlist updater plugin. I had one for msn messenger and every few tracks it crashed my machine. I disabled the plugin and it fixed my crashing issue.

Winamp kept crashing with a C++ error on windows 7 and 8. Ran Registry Mechanic and seems to be fixed. Ultimate test I used is to enter sleep mode. On wakeup Winamp crashes. Not doing that now. drss1942
