Winamp Trouble

Hi
can not get winamp to run on my system,no matter what i do,run as adm.install as admin and so on.
i have ben given plenty of advice but i can not get it to function.

What version of Winamp are you using?

You need version 5.57 upwards: Windows 7 Compatibility for Winamp version 5.6: Nullsoft. Drivers, Updates, Downloads

I have downloaded winamp directly from winamps website,so that must be 5.623.And it should work on windows 7,but it does not,and i do not get it,please help me
