Unfortunately, in this case you would have to get a new graphics card as the 865 from Intel does not support Aero. The lowest model from Intel to support Aero is the 945.

You can try installing the XP Drivers simply to get the correct resolutions to show up but apart from that, Aero is not going to work on this. You'd need at minimum either an Intel 945, Radeon 9500, or GeForce FX 5200.

Isnt there any other way to get aero without buying a new video card like forcing aero to work?

Short Answer: No.
Long Answer: Definitely not.
As Stormy said, there's only so much software can do; you can try Window Blinds but at best, that would only emulate Aero and in my experience, the performance penalty isn't worth it.

I have been there and done this all before. About the lowest GPU you can get by with for Aero is the Nvidia FX6200 256m which uses standard PCI, I have one sitting in front of me right now. It only requires a 250watt PSU and cost me 30 bucks brand new from eBay. I tried it on one of my old P4 compaq and it ran Aero with no problems.

The problem is that they are hard to find and you would be just as well off with the 8400GS which are much easier to find. The only problem is that the 8400 requires a power supply of about 300 watts min.

WDDM described Windows Display Driver Model - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As for the bios password I would assume you didn't buy that system new and someone password locked the bios. Without the password you can't make any changes. So you need to find out if you can get the password. or (and I'm not sure about this) But a possible bios update my delete the password. Providing a newer version is avalible.

PooMan UK should have solved your bios problem.

Here is the Dimension 3000 main board layout, on the top right you will see where the clear password jumper is (J9H1). Once cleared you should be able to get into the bios. ;)
