Solved Window couldn't start

Hi,

Could you place help me with this. My window suddenly failed to start and showed the message: " An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data." I tried to use the function "Repair your computer" in my installation disc but it failed too.

I tried Startup Repair, System Restore, System Image Recovery but none of them could fix it. I'm in miserable now and can't do any work without my lap.

Please help me

Besides this message, did you get anything else, something like this:

File: \Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc000000f
An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data


Did you try with 'Last Known Good Configuration'?

When you start your laptop, try to tap F8 when lap starts booting, until you see the Windows boot menu and then select Use last known good configuration.
If Windows has worked before, then you might have a chance that this works.

Second, you might be able to check in BIOS is the HDD visible.

If there is a HDD, you might try to repair Windows BDC:

Fix Windows BDC - Step 6

I tried this but nothing happened when I was taping F8

I did this to, only the Command Prompt worked but the procedure couldn't fix the problem too

Ok, the problem was solved, it is the USB 3.0 driver that caused the issue.

Here are the steps that I have done:

Freed all the USB 3.0 port.
Boot Windows by installation disc and use repair windows function, then choose the Command Prompt:

Type : bootrec /fixmbr
Then : bootrec /fixboot
Then : bcdboot c:\Windows /s c: /l en-us (depend on computer that it can be c:\ or d:\Windows)

After that, restart the computer and Windows shall be started normally.

After Window starts successfully, you can connect your USB 3.0 stuffs but beware that they may cause BSOD (happened for 1 of my USB 3.0 ports). Better to update all your drivers first.
