window in background flashing/glowing to get attention

Just a minor annoyance, but one that has irked me for quite some time. When a window in the background wants attention for some reason, it glows orange (though I suppose that color differs if you've chosen a different theme) and flashes for a short while in the task bar, until the window is brought to the front. Is there any way to disable this notification and have the window simply remain plain?

Now, try changing the value of HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop\ForegroundFlashCount to zero
