Window just goes dormaint and you can't enter text in many application

When I go to a browser, card game, or word processor I can type a few characters but then I have to click the top bar to make window active again so I can type text. Anyone have any idea of what is going on here? Please help it is very annoying.

Sounds like something is stealing focus. Here is a very long thread on this problem: Applications stealing focus - reg key no longer fixes - Microsoft Community

Read through it and see if any of the suggestions there help.

Start with the first one where you start Task Manager, click on the Processes tab then sort by CPU Utilization so the one using the most CPU is at the top. Then go ahead and use the computer. When the problem occurs, look at Task Manager and see if any specific program has jumped way up in utilization.
