Window Nagging with Auto-hide Taskbar

I would really like to see MS pay more attention to the auto-hide feature of windows.

As is, if you have auto hide turned out, and a program needs attention the entire taskbar pops up and leave the flashing button flashing. It's been like that as far as I can remember. With the new compacted taskbar icons it would awesome if, when a program/window needs attention only the corresponding icon popped up instead of the entire bar.

Like a manilla folder tab peeking up.
