Im using window 7100 I would like to know is there a way to set windows size. Ok what I mean is that if I open my computer and make the screen small and then I open my c drive and open a folder and make the screen big so I can see all the folder why the heck does it change the default size of my original window in my computer. Every size change I do all the windows open that size. It’s driving me crazy

One more thing I don’t like the font used in windows 7 all my apps look funny with that font. How do I change it to look more like the XP font and where

Thanks Guys

Hello Joe, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

You can use this method below for Vista to change the default fonts in Windows 7 as well.

Fonts - Change Default - Vista Forums

Windows 7 has the Windows Explorer view and size to reopen however it was the last time it was closed for all windows. :(

Hope this helps some,
Shawn

Hello Joe, here's a couple more things you can do when opening a window. Explorer always see the last setting of the window you opened, thus it will use that setting until you change the way you open the window. So, here' s a way for it to open at the same size each time: open the window then resize it to the size that you would like; then immdiately close the window before doing anything else. Now reopen the window for that app or program, and the window should be the same size you set it to (works a good deal of the time).

To Change the fonts - right click the mouse on an open area of the desktop then click on Personalization, next clck Color and Appearance, on this screen you will see Advance appearance settings. . . click on that and you are now in the old style Window Color and Appearnace box. . .hopefully you can take it from there.

Sorry to tell you this Lee but that's not how it works with 7, If you resize one explorer window it resizes all windows, they have not included custom window sizes for each folder like in Vista and earlier OS's for some stupid reason.

Well I seem to be having an even worse problem. Explorer won't remember any size other than the default(which is huge). If it was one size I could get use to it, as long as it was smaller, but opening windows that take up half my screen is ridiculous.

Any advice?
