window within a window too large

G'day folks, hope every one is enjoying their day so far!! I on the other hand have a small problem...I am not sure what the titles are so I will try to explain it...when I click on a program the normal window comes up and everything is fine, including the font and the size of the window....now when I click on one of the menus the drop down windows becomes large and I cannot see what is on the bottom of the page (the little boxes, ie ok, cancel. go back etc) I do not know what the name pf that drop page....this does not happen on all programs....the fonts are larger and the display data is larger...so I make my decision of what I want to do an press enter and hope it is accepted and most of time it works...but I would like see the whole page...the resolution is the largest I can go 1024X768.....I hope this enough info , what is my next step

I tried but snag it or clip it would could not be started as the taskbar would not come up..the prog I am talking about was adobe element...

I am not familiar with Adobe you can still get a screenshot.. (Like Kari said above..)

Just Hitting print screen key on your keyboard ... and go into paint and paste it and then save it..
(it is by the scroll lock usually ..)

Are you having issues opening programs? and/or taskbar..

no I do not normally have problems with task bar I never tried it with adobe...I hit the print screen which I have never used before and snagit took over which I thought that was cool
