Hello.

On Windows 7, a reserved upgrade offer to Windows 10 blocks me from selecting and installing optional and security updates to my Windows 7. I have "notify me of patches but do not download or install them automatically" selected. I plan on taking the plunge to Windows 10 a bit later on; need to uninstall/change some to-be-incompatible software, etc.

Is there a way to bypass the Windows 10 upgrade in the Windows Update user interface, or do I absolutely have to refuse/cancel the upgrade reservation, and do I have to uninstall the upgrade offer app/KB?

Hello!

Still on Windows 7, When I click on Windows Update on Start menu, I only get the green "Your upgrade to windows 10 is ready now" screen. Theres no way to just install updates to my current Windows 7 as far as I can see. Even if I go to important or optional updates screens and check which ones I'd like to install, the only option on the Windows Update main screen is to upgrade to Windows 10.

I just wanted to know if there was any clever way to just install the updates I had selected, and defer the Win 10 a bit.
