windows 7, 2 monitors, 'screens' askew, problem solved.

Hi all.

I have a comp with a GeForce GTS 250 graphics card and two 24" Dell 2407WFP monitors. I just installed Windows 7 and the only thing wrong so far is that when the mouse crosses the barrier between the screens (setup to be just one desktop, no cloning) the mouse jumps up or falls down about two inches depending on if you transition from left monitor to right or vice versa. When I enter the NVIDIA control panel, and click setup multiple displays, I see a dark grey box with my two monitors inside labeled 1 and 2, with the rightmost monitor having the primar monitor star. This askew-ness that explains the mouse jumping is evident in the orientation of the monitors in this box, but they are not draggable. There was a brief glimmer of hope when I clicked restore defaults in the upper right hand corner, as it positioned the monitors in the grey setup box to be perfectly lined up, but then I clicked apply and they went askew again. If there is already a thread about this, I apologize for the duplicate posting, but a redirect would be appreciated. Thank you all.

Postscript - It is sorta embarrassing that the frustration built for over a month for me to make a post on a forum like this seeking a solution, only to stumble upon it literally seconds after submitting it. Apparently you cannot drag the screens around in the NVIDIA setup window because the Windows OS seems to want to disable it so that you have to reorient the monitors in WINDOWS' monitor setup client.

Fix: I right clicked the desktop background as I would to go to the NVIDIA setup window, but below it was something not familiar from XP: "screen resolution." I clicked that and staring me right in the face was a Windows version of the dark gray box I described earlier with my monitors and their physical orientation. These I found to be movable. Sorry so much for the waste of time and space, but maybe this will help someone else out... Thank you!

There is a place in the display properties screen that shows the two monitors in a window. Move the monitor that dips down up a little in the window to make the screens line up.
