Hello, I figured out that my op.system current problem is at the registry settings (i cannot launch .exe files, windows would like to associate them instead of starting ).
So i cannot start any application on my machine at the moment including cmd.exe or anything. And the biggest prob is that i cannot find anywhere on the internet these registry files, neither on windows pages, to download and "replace" them. I dont want to reinstall my system because of that (~3-4mbytes of data can break the whole win7?!), so i would welcome any suggestions/solutions in that case.
Thanks forward

Welcome!

Usually mucking around in the registry doesn't help those kind of issues.

Instead, try a system files check. Open an elevated command prompt and enter sfc /scannow.

If that doesn't work, you can also try a repair install.

Good luck!

Hello Welcome to SF,

Here is the Link for our Tutorial for Default Files Associations http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html download the registry for EXE and run it. It should fix the issue.

Hope this helps,
Captain
