I'm running the Windows 7 64-bit beta (build 7000) and I need help with the OpenGL problem in the preview ATI driver. Has anyone found a way to fix this? Can I install Catalyst 9.1 and fix this? It doesn't officialy support Windows 7. Also I'm new here, where is the reputation slider or whatever? Thnx
I would give it a try. The worst that can happen (aside from your computer blowing up) is the driver refusing to install citing an unrecognized OS. I am an nVidia person and I know that the Vista drivers are usable in Se7en, except nVidia has now released proper drivers.
Also I'm new here, where is the reputation slider or whatever?
hello The Dragon Mask and welcome...
this is beta driver and as such will not have all opengl as part of the download (meaning opengl cannot be used...)
if you read the release notes in the Ati beta drivers page you will see this stated....
currently the latest drivers out there are the 9.2 so i would give a shot at those first...
also to minize any complications during the install of the 9.2 drivers unnistall the beta 8.12.....
then after the reboot install these
as for the rep this was explained already by mattinahat and is also included in my sig....
