windows 7 64 bit problem

ok so i dont know where to put this so i am here

i OC my 2.83 333X8.5 to 3.2 400X8.0 CPU sees it right but windows is seeing it as a 3.4 any idiea whats going on with my windows? it was reading fine till i changed from 8.5 to 8.0 is there a fix?

This is because you changed the multiplier.
To get an accurate reading you'll need to use something like CPUZ.

Windows generally gives the correct OC speeds, however, when you lower the CPU multiplier, it assumes it is at its stock setting.

this is why you are seeing 3.4Ghz through Windows.

8.5x400= 3.4ghz
