Ok on many forums it says for gaming it is better to use 4 or 6 gigs of ram, but that is not what i am here to debate, i need help finding exact memory sticks that are compatible with my motherboard, my motherboar manufacture answered a question of mine saying that my motherboard has 4 slots ofmemory and the design is for each to work with the other so 3 2 gig sticks would not run as smooth as all 4 slots filled. Therefore destroying my idea for 6 gigs considering people say 8 is not as good for gaming, however, i dont entirely believe that.
MOTHERBOARD: EVGA NFORCE 680i sli mb rev d
I currently have 4 1 gig sticks of elpida ddr2 pc-2-6400 UDIMM 800mhz cl8 JEDEC STD Rev w.
i dont really understand what all that stuff means on memory except for its ddr2 800mhz what does the rest of that mean?
CAn someone please help me find a link to memory that is compatible, i don't know what to look for/.

Basically your motherboard can run DDR2 RAM of the following clock speeds:

DDR2 533/667/800/1200MHz

You are limited to DDR2 only, so if you plan on upgrading the RAM in your Motherboard, make sure that you get DDR2, not DDR3 or it will not work.

For example the Corsair CM2X2048-6400C5 2GB DDR2 RAM will run on your motherboard.

Hopefully that shed some light on what to look for, if not let me know.

Right (ram) Random Access Memory is basiclly memory in your pc okay ? MHZ is how fast it basiclly runs at the same with clock speed the lower the clock speed the fast CL1 is fastest it starts from CL9 but if your MHZ is high say like 1600MHZ but the clock speed (CL) is 9 then it wouldnt matter because your MHZ high and fast its hard to put in words really but personally i think your better off finding ram thats sort of in the middle such as like 1333MHZ and clock speed like 5 so its basiclly evening it out
Heres a link about ram read through it and make your choice :
