hi I have recently built my own desktop pc and installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bit with no problems at all. I now am trying to upgrade to 64 bit but windows will not recognize any of my drives to install windows files to. Any body got any suggestions ? thanks.

Hello scottyp1, welcome to Seven Forums!

As there is no upgrade path from 32-bit to 64-bit you will have to do a clean install and you will need 64-bit drivers, Windows 7 is pretty much driver complete and will add all the necessary drivers automatically during the install.

Disconnect all the peripherals and leave only the keyboard and mouse connected for the install, you don't have to add any drivers for the install unless you are setting up a RAID configuration.

Be sure to posy back to keep us informed.
