Yesterday i have installed Win 7 SP1 64bit Professional. Before i was using Win XP 64bit Pro SP2. One of my steam games, racing simulator Race 07, i was playing always in window mode (so i could switch easier to telemetry Motec i2 program during every racing practice/qualify).
After game launching, i was clicking just below title bar of the game window (game window resolution the same like windows desktop size= 1024/768) and moving the window up, so the title bar was hidden and i could see the whole game view perfectly fitted.
Unfortunately in Windows 7, after releasing mouse button, window is returning back down to its previous position- 100% of title bar is on screen and the lowest part of game view is hidden (where there is e.g. car tachometer).
I checked that this problem is present also with other applications. The same situation was in Quake 3 in window mode.
You can check it yourself in few seconds:
1)Download q3 demo - 46 MB http://www.programy.pobieralnia.org/Q3ADemo_[www.POBIERALNIA.org].exe
2)Install and run the game.
3)Switch to window mode by pressing alt-enter
(if it doesnt work u can change it in setup or in console by pressing ` or ~ key [under ESC]; when console is open, type:
"\r_fullscreen 0" and press enter
"\vid_restart" and press enter
4)when we have q3 in window mode, open the console (~ key) - mouse cursor will appear on screen and we can move the game window by click&hold on window title bar.
