So i have already posted about this a while ago and ended up marking it as solved. however it has started again.
my computer freezes "randomly", although it seems to only/mostly happen when using media programs, for example last time it happened i was watching youtube, often happens when watching on VLC player. and occasionally on COD.
the thread i worked through was http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/148030-windows-7-64bit-freezing-randomly.html and did all the checks they recommended, even bought a cooling stand since we came to the conclusion that it was the heat that was causing the problem.
this time when it happened i was updating my iphone, and i noticed the update continued even when the computer was frozen, so the computer isnt frozen just the screen, also when it happens the sound is a humming sound, i think it is repeating the last sound that was played before it froze. i have also noticed that sometimes when watching movies on VLC player (probably same for any media player) that it "lags" and has the same freezing effect but for only a split second.
so im thinking it may have something to do with the video/graphics card or reader or something like that.
