Are you running the beta build or the RC build? Or some other build? Please run the following command at a cmd prompt and post the output here.

REG.exe QUERY "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v BuildLabEx

This was a bug in the RC build. It is fixed in more recent builds, and you will be able to see that it is fixed when the final product is released.

The bug is caused by the fact that your system's BIOS does not describe installed memory to Windows as expected. A system BIOS update would correct this problem if your motherboard manufacturer chose to release one. As you might imagine, it's not suprising that two people with the same brand motherboard are reporting this problem.

You may want to increase you Virtual Memory (System Properties->Advanced system settings), under Performance click 'Settings' then click the 'Advanced' tab and under Virtual Memory click 'Change'. You would want to set it to about 1.5x your phisical RAM, so if you have 8GB then you need to set it you Virtual Memory to 12GB.

Hope this helps :)

Don't you mean a bug in the BETA builds? Aside from build 7127, RC is the latest build.

No, I mean what I said. This was a bug in the RC build and it is fixed in more recent builds. You are correct that the RC is the latest publicly available build.

I see what you're saying. They would be the Pre-RC builds.

No, I'm talking about post-RC builds when I say that this is fixed. Post-RC builds do not have this problem and the RC build does have this problem.

Post-RC builds are not publicly available at this time, but once you are able to get one, you will see that this issue is resolved. :) Don't worry!

I'm happy to report that W7 (7127 x64) is finally displaying my ram under System Properties:D.

To my surprise, upgrading to 7127 from 7100 (instead of doing a fresh install, as I normally do) my C drive has gone down a bit by 1.5GB!

W7 7100 x64 19.9GB free of 37.2GB
W7 7127 x64 21.4GB free of 37.2GB
