Solved windows 7 acer laptop, after full reset, unable access internet

[FONT=&quot]I did a full reset using recovery at boot, now i can not seem to get to most of the internet.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]I have very limited internet access, i can get to google and yahoo, but the site does not display right, lots of stuff missing on the page. I believe it might have to do with the date/time/timezone.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]I am in florida, but when i choose est, it does not give me the correct time.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]its windows 7 home premium.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]any idea?[/FONT]

It is probably very out of date, not surpring the old internet explorer is having difficulty.

what is the exact model name and number of the machine ?

does the restored image include SP1 ?

its the acer aspire 5750.
Yes, it did install sp1. Everything was install without error. I can connect via ethernet or wireless, but website is few and slow to come up.
it wont even load google.

How do i update the wifi connections on windows 7 to be able to connect to the work wifi?

Was it working before the reset?
Open device manager. Is there any yellow alerts of missing drivers?
Did you install the updates using Simplix?
