Windows 7 Administrator

Hi All,

I was wondering if someone can tell me how to enable the administrator account (not reset the password) i know the password but i have forgot the password to my local account so i want to log in as administrator but it is not listed at the logon screen?

I can not log into the computer at all so i would have to enable the admin account without logging in?

Boot into safe mode by pressing f8 while the computer starts.

In many cases the administrator account will be displayed in safe mode

Thank you for your help

I have managed to get in by doing the following:

Run the computer in safe mode with cmd prompt
type... net user
this gave me a list of local users
i then typed... net user *username* *new password* then press enter (without the *'s)

Don't know if this would work in all cases?
