Apologies if something resembling this issue has been addressed elsewhere.
I received my laptop (HP dv2635) back today at factory settings on 32-bit Vista Professional after having to send it away to get the mainboard replaced. I installed Win 7 and all seems to be going well, though there are a few things like drivers for webcam, touchpad, fingerprint reader etc that are not up to date because these devices are not responding in the same way they used to.
HP website has not yet listed driver updates for Win7, but I recall reading somewhere on several of the forums I have looked at that most Vista drivers for devices such as these should work. Is this true?
I can definitely survive with things as they are until HP extends driver support over the coming weeks, but a temporary fix would definitely eb awesome, especially for the touchpad.
Thanks in advance

If any drivers dont install and you get a OS mismatch error you can do the following:
To install a driver OR program in compatibility mode - right click the setup.exe file - click properties - click compatibility - check run in compatibility with vista/xp etc - check run as administrator - leave the rest blank. Start setup.exe and install.
