Good Night,

I recently install windows 7 in my laptop, however i notice a increase of cpu activity, always in 50%, and no aplications running.
I run Process Explorer and i see this thread ACPI.SYS with 30%/40% of cpu ocupation.
I have done some research and i found that was something to do with the power management...I can have any option in Bios menu to change power settings, and i also upgrade the bio to the version of the oficial site of Packard Bell, but i run BiosagentPlus and he says that i need a Upgrade, but it costs $30...
After 2 days of researching i can't find a solution, please help....

That "CPU busy doing nothing in particular" symptom is frequently caused by BIOS-level problems.

I'm not entirely clear on who or what "BiosagentPlus" is, nor why they'd want to charge you for a BIOS update, but it is very important that you update to the latest BIOS supplied by the manufacturer.

Does the same symptom happen in safe mode?
