Windows 7 and XP multiple boot

Windows 7 and XP dual boot

My netbook is samsung n100s. It has 3 partition. C and D are primary partition and E is logical partition. My operating system is Windows 7 in C drive. Now i want to setup Windows XP in D drive. but when i install windows XP, windows 7 boot manager doesn't work and it directly boot from windows XP. So i unable to select OS.
Please help me! I want to boot any time any Windows.

Don't Dual Boot. Get VMware Player, a Virtual Machine software program, and install XP in a Virtual Machine and run both 7 and XP at the same time. Host OS Win 7, XP in the VM.

No need to partition the drive. No need to select which OS you are working in.

XP is so old it can't recognize Win7 to create a Dual Boot. The best way to proceed is to restart Win7 and then install EasyBCD (free Download at bottom of page - no name or email required) to add XP from the Add OS Entry tab.

To start Win7 Mark Partition Active the Win7 or it's 100mb System Reserved partition (preferred if you have it) in XP disk Mgmt, then run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times until Win7 starts and again holds the System Active flags.

Yes Harry, however in the thousands of comments we've helped with in that tutorial over time it's become easier when XP is installed last to start up Win7 to add XP rather than muck with installing EasyBCD in XP.

This is because over three years we've literally watched XP in that thread age into near-decrepitude and become rejected by most modern hardware so that it is best either virtualized or added from the modern OS.
