Over the last few weeks, my Windows 7 (64x) system appears to hang, but the cpu is only at 26% and memory around 35%.
When I start Task Manager, it goes into a loop where it is refreshing constantly.
Obviously, since I can start TM, the system is hanging but nothing else does anything.
If I can get TM to hold still long enough, I find a svchost.ext process that is around 150-200KB in size and if I can kill it, the system releases. This process is always there and after I kill it, it restarts a few minutes later. It took me over an hour last night before I finally had to power off the machine to get it back.
I've installed Process Explorer but I'm not sure what to look for that could be the issue.
I know I haven't given a lot here to go on, but any guidance you can share would be helpful and much appreciated
