I have a base machine which is 64 bit Windows 7 Enterprise. Can i create a 64 bit Windows 7 Enterprise VM on the base machine?

Hello harvinder25, welcome to the Seven Forums.
You can use Virtual PC, Sun VirtualBox or WMware to install any OS on virtual machine. Virtual PC allows you to install only 32-bit OS's, VirtualBox and WMware also 64-bit.
You can install the same OS both on host and guest machines. Strictly speaking the licencing allows you only install and use a copy of Windows only on one machine at the time so you should not use the same activation code on host OS and guest OS.
Please remember that a virtual machine needs firewall, malware or antivirus software as any other computer, it can not use the ones installed on the host.
