I recently backed up my computer using Windows backup and restore then decided I wanted to move the backup to a different drive. I couldn't see any option to move the files so I decided to delete the backup and start again.
However, in my haste, I deleted the files manually in Windows explorer instead of in backup and restore itself and therein lies the problem:
Although the files have been deleted the space taken up by the backup has not. i.e. there is 30GB of space still allocated to the backup that I can not seem to free up.
There are no backups showing in Windows backup and restore so I can't delete from there.
How can I free up this space since without formatting the drive since it contains lots of other information that I wish to keep?
