When my computer boots up it goes past the Starting Windows part and then goes to a black screen. When i disable/uninstall my nvidia drivers i am able to boot fine but when i reinstall the newest drivers from nvidia and restart it goes back to a black screen. It's not my video card because it worked fine in windows 7 32 bit. Anyone know what i can try?

I'm assuming you upgraded to 64 bit? that means that you need new 64 bit drivers

And does it have the Nvidia Control Panel as well?

If so, why bother downloading new ones when they're not working and you gave all the functionality of Nvidia's components.

Try this, download the latest driver from Nvidia's site, then get Universal Extractor

On install only check the top box. It will create a Extract on the right-click context menu.

Rather than double-clicking the file, this will extract the contents of the .exe file, No go to Device Manager and under Display adapters, choose update driver software, now go back to Device Manager, click on the Nvidia card and choose update driver software

It is the video card driver which is having a problem with 64 bit. Post in the drivers forum where there is more expertise.

You may need to go back to 32 bit, perhaps on a dual boot until you can work the kinks out of the video driver.
