hey guys i've just gotten this error on my computer 0x0000009c and on the top it says MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION and right after i got this error i restarted and then after a few fail attempts i went and put my install CD in and went to the BIOs to change boot mode to CD and after that i click boot from cd and it starts booting then restarts at the windows 7 LOGO when trying to get into login screen at startup and restarts and i tryed it again and it just restarts so it wont even startup passed the boot LOGO. please help me i even tryed startup repair and i get 0x0000009c MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION still just like when the PC did it the first time. hehe i've even tryed USB instead of using disc to reinstall windows but it just restarts at the boot logo and never lets me do anything so i have no access to even get in windows. I also even tryed start from last known config and no luck.

if anyone had this and knows if it is a hardware problem or a windows problem please help me but if its a windows problem then why is the boot CD not booting up hmmm.

Extra Info: the first time it happened i was talking to some friends on teamspeak and listening to pandora and such nothing non normal it was the same thing i do everyday.

Also have no acess to windows as i cant repair it because the blue screen comes up and i cant start it up because it restarts and never starts up again so it just keeps restarting everytime i click "Start windows normally.

Hi,

Did the constant restarts occur after you performed a Start up Repair?

If so, it sounds like your machine is in a Start up Infinity Repair Loop,
follow this tutorial if that is the case:

:ar: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/139576-startup-repair-infinite-loop-recovery.html

If this is not the case then follow this tutorial:

:ar: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219533-troubleshooting-windows-7-failure-boot.html

Does the issue exist in Safe-mode?

The error 0x0000009c is usually related to a hardware issue. Similar to a STOP 0x124.
It may result from overheating, or from failed hardware - RAM, CPU, PSU, etc.
Also overclocking can cause that paticular error too.

I would suggest you check the hardware settings in your bios, starting with the RAM,
and restore default settings. Ensure there's no overheating of the system. If your overclocking....STOP.

Also please follow this tutorial:

:ar: http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Dave

Ok, Im just going to throw a few try's your way:

1. First, recheck everything is connected properly.
2. Ensure the memory and video card are seated properly, try video card in a different PCIe slot.
3. Try just one stick of RAM.
4. Is the power light Green or Amber? If Amber it maybe a PSU issue.
5. Disconnect all non-essential peripheral devices and expansion cards and try to boot?

cheers

Still same problem and i tryed all those haha idk whats going on this computer never had this issue before and wtf why would it give me blue screens 1 day and when i wake up the screen no longer shows anything but the pc turns on fine except it does not make the beep noise on motherboard at startup

Video cards deff in correctly and its all checked and fine but same problems no matter what i try and by the way there is no light haha i use cyberpower PC and i never saw a light on this PC

think its a motherboard problem?

would that be the reason the computer gave me a blue screen first and turned off then when i turned it back on it wouldent get passed boot logo and now it wont even show screen or make the motherboards beeping sound?

haha i guess its geeksquad time if so but ehhh its gonna cost alot

Did you follow all the steps in the troubleshooting guide I linked you to?

What was the outcome of WDO, SFC etc? Are you able to boot into Safe-mode?

cheers

Only black screen

Can't do anything on the pc because like I said I turned it on and the monitor won't show the screen so it's all black and I wish I could boot in safe mode but I can't see the screen anymore

I also tried the steps you gave me and they never worked so I guess it's s motherboard issue if the monitor won't show up and I know for a fact the graphics card works and monitor as I tried it on other pc

some people said it could be hard drive but when i used to start up the computer it used to make a beeping noise with motherboard at startup but now i just hear the fans and see the lights and such thats it
