Windows 7 - Bluescreen/reboot when playing DayZ

So, can someone please help me find out whats causing the bluescreen/reboot? It can happen after 2 min or even 1 hour of playing DayZ. Still no sign of bluescreen/reboot when playing Arma2.

Got a brand new 850w cosair psu aswell, so its not lack of power at least.

Memory test done. And I've installed the newest Nvidia driver.

Cpu is water cooled, so no problems with the temp.

Update your NVIDIA video card drivers from the below link. Perform a clean install by choosing custom installation rather than typical.

SOFTWARE

You will need to remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver that was found in your dump called sptd.sys which is notorious for causing BSOD's.Use the below SPTD uninstaller to uninstall the driver...

I see. Well thanks. After the DayZ update yesterday, and when i disabled Deamon Tools, I've not gotten any bluescreens... yet... Been playing for 2 hours now, so I'll post the .rar file if it happens again.

That's good to hear. Make sure sptd.sys and Daemon Tools are both uninstalled though to prevent any future crashes,

Bsod

I seem to be having a similar problem some back story I had a friend build this for me back in Feb. after getting both a MoBo and Ram DOA all was great for a few weeks then I had to get the mobo fixed for a BIOS issue, it was looping writing back up BIOS. Upon return I have had 1 BSOD whlie playing Diablo 3 but not since. I got 2 BSOD last night while playing Dayz and once today while just sitting with Six Launcher open. Also ran memtest86 last night with no errors. I would say I have average to above average knowledge of computers, Google has been a life saver. Thanks for the help

Make sure your Razer drivers are up to date as they are a know cause of BSODs.

Stress test your CPU using Intel Burn Test.

Test your video card using Furmark. Watch your machine's temps and stop the test if it starts to overheat or artifacts appear on the screen.

All Test Passed

Before you posted I had already run Memtest and Prime95 with no errors although memtest didn't want to stop had to pull the CD and power off. I also Played both Portal 2 and Diablo 3 full graphical specs for 1hr each with out problems. Also tried just ARMA 2 with out the DayZ mad and it too BSOD. As far as I can tell my Naga driver is up to date it updates automatically occasionally and i remember it updating last week.


Burn In Test results:
Standard- 390.5 seconds, Max temp. 62.2C
High- 1092.49 seconds, Max temp. 64.6C
Very High- 3064.38 seconds, Max temp. 65.9C

Furmak Test:
After a few minutes temp leveled at 77C so I continued for 7 ish minutes total and never went higher. I'm attaching a screen shot as I was wondering if the center is supposed to look that way (blocks) it is that way from the beginning also the other furry render scree lowers the temp 3-4 deg.

From here I noticed there are 2 newer BIOS for my board so I'm going to try flasj=hing newest non-beta and see if that helps as from what I've gathered a BCCode 101 can be a BIOS problem. I will re post after I flash new BIOS.

Forgot to mention but I bench marked 1080p and got a 1309 score 21fps 602000ms. not sure if that matters.

so flashing new BIOS had no effect. seems like I can play less and less every time, it crashe with in 10 minutes this time I decided to include a new jcgriff2 file after the last crash maybe there is some new clues. thanks

Run a chkdsk on the system partition to check for bad sectors or system errors.

Ok thanks for the reply. I did a disk check and found no errors after it was finished I missed the full message but I remember it said something about it being a NTFS and file clean. As for updating drivers I tried Uniblue DriverScanner 2013 but didn't have the money to upgrade to have it fix them did a search for free scanners and found SlimDriver on CNET and I've never had a problem with programs I have downloaded from there before so I went with it. Slimdriver found the same drivers needed to be updated as Uniblue and Downloaded and installed them for FREE

After which I was able to Play ARMA 2 with the DayZ mod for around 2hrs befor it BSODed again. I so was hoping it had worked but no. I them attempted to play again and this time I wasn't even able to load into the server before it crashed again. That's when I did the disk check. I am included the latest dump file after the last crash, maybe you can tell if the drivers you suggested have been fixed. I also ran the DuplexSecure program again and it said the SPTD file was not present. I am at a loss to what could be causing this could it be the game itself? really hoping its not a hardware issue as I've heard RMAing a CPU is troublesome. also wouldn't the stress tests I performed have caused a BSOD if it was a Hardware problem? If you play the game without the DayZ mod does your computer still crash? Does your computer crash at any other time?

Yes if I play the game with out the mod this also causes a crash. I also bought a new game from steam today, Batman Arkum Asylum and this too caused a crash. I does not crash any other time I even played Diablo 3 again for around an hour with no crash. As for the drives you listed the hugoio.sys is associated with i-Menu which is a desktop app that allows me to change screen settings but I never use it so I just un installed it. The tmpB2BB.tmp I could not find anything about it any where. As for other driver updates I rescanned using Uniblue and it still list drivers out of date even though the Slim driver does not, I'm not sure what to make of that as I don't have the money to buy the full program nor could I figure out where to get the drivers myself and install them. Is there any free driver updater software you can recommend?
Could this be another problem with steams DRM and my processor? When I bought Portal 2 I was unable to play it due to a BIOS bug that requiered an update once I flashed the newest BIOS I was able to play Portal 2.

You have a 0x101 error which may point to hardware, BIOS or driver. Read the following thread and see if any of it's fixes work.

Drivers

Enable Driver Verifier. Enabling this should hopefully crash your system and then point to the faulty driver that is causing problems. However before you do, it is advised that you create a system restore point and backup first.

Software

Driver update software such as SlimDrivers or DriverMax are generally not recommended as they often cause problems. Rather than using such software to update your drivers I personally would update them manually.

Hardware

Test your RAM using Memtest86+. Let it run until 6-8 passes have completed or errors have been found.

has another post link about kernel dumps are needed to fully diagnose 0x101 codes. would you need a kernel dump then?

It should be fine, it's unlikely that Slim Drivers caused much if any damage in such a short time.

Even though you said it wasn't necessary I did do a system retore to before I used the driver software. Also I downloaded and installed the latest drivers from Gigabytes website. So after enabling Driver Verifier it crash right away and wont start up. so here are the files from SF Diag Tool v4

after investigating the first crash I tried updating with no luck, but I found out it is possible to run with out the driver so I deleted it and re ran verifier. here are the files for the next crash.
