Windows 7 boot SSD now in RAW format! "missing operating system"
Hi,
I am a newbie here, so apologies for the long post.
My PC recently went into hibernation mode, and soon after i restarted windows noticed sector errors and fixed them. HOWEVER, since then it will not start windows, and now it tells me "missing operating system"
I can access the motherboard boot screen and see all of the drives(including disc drive), i have used the command prompt and can see that all the drives are active, however the SSD boot drive is not NTFS but RAW.
I have tried using my windows 7(ultimate) backup disc & a windows 7(Home premium) install disc, but both will not let me access windows, without a fresh install.
Could this be as simple as the driver for the SSD is no longer on the PC?, and i now need to source it and install it?, or is it likely that the drive is ruined?
I have a NAS which has the windows backup's stored on there, however the PC will not let me access the NAS without installing Windows, can i install the Home premium version on a new SSD and restore the ultimate from my NAS backup once the windows install is complete?
In addition is there any way to rescue the data on the corrupt SDD?, or to reuse the SSD etc etc.
Sorry for all the questions, but hopefully someone can help!
