Sorry to add this to the list but, I also have the "Bootmgr is missing" I did a simple format c drive from the Windows 7 installation disk, and installed windows 7 after that. All looks fine till I try to reboot, and then I get the message... When I try any repairs, windows 7 says things are fine... I have now reformted the c drive three times and the same message and no way out. Nothing else fancy, no crazy tricks or wierd PC config... just a clean c install and no way out... Help!

Does it boot when the dvd is in the tray? It might be a bad dvd burn, or ISO. where did you download the ISO from?

Yes... three times as well.. Windows7 says all is fine and it did not find anything. It also gives a standard message that "I may have a camera or something attached that may be the issue"... I detatched my web cam and same message..

My suggestion is to remove all hardware except for 1 stick of Ram 1 video card the har drive your formatting and installing to, KB& mouse. Run the install disk. It should have been burned at the slowest speed possibly 4x reccomended. If this is the only OS on this drive then your bootmngr should be their and you shouldn't have any problems with your install. If you are partitioning the drive with another OS on it it is possible the bootmngr is on that partion But not always. eliminating everything except the bare minimum of hardware reduces the possibility of conflict of some kind occurring during installation. Also where you obtained the ISO from is Very important if it didn't come from Microsoft or Technet or MSDN, you have noway of knowing it has not been altered or missing crucial information. Try this and check back. Good Luck. Fabe (edit) 1 more thing PLEASE go to your user CP top of page and fill in in it's entirety your system spesifications. this helps others help you.

Will do on my profile..... To answer your question... The CD is the new production cd. Got it Friday from a MS Balmer event I attended.. hot off the press.. there is no other OS on the system and I unplugged the two other data hard drives(no OS on them) during the install.

Welcome to Seven Forums,

Congrats on the event Disk.

If we can get some info, it will help us to identify possibilities.

Check this Sticky thread: Questions to use for help with Installation Issues

Answer as much as you can.

And as mentioned the system specs.

Got it fixed, but it was not pretty. I had to go in detach all the drives to the unit except the C Drive. Format the C again, run the install, do a few other installs and reboots, then shut donw and installed the D and E drives and formated them again.
Issue closed...
