Okay as the title says...I cannot boot into Windows 7 on my buddies laptop...It will boot fine into Windows 7 Safe Mode however when I boot into regular Windows it wont. Can a battery thats dying prevent it from booting into Windows?

Hello sparker and welcome to Seven Forums.

I'm guessing if the battery has enough power to boot into Safe Mode, it should have enough power to do a normal boot. It sounds like something might have damaged or corrupted the Master Boot Record. One of the Forum experts prepared this troubleshooting tutorial that might help. It's time consuming but it has helped many solve their boot problems:

What do you define "not being able to boot into normal mode"? Does it give you an error message? Is the screen "stuck" on somewhere? Please explain.
Also, if you have access to a repair disc/USB, boot from it by setting the BIOS priority first for CD/DVD/USB. Then, use Startup Repair.

Well what I meant was I turn the laptop on and it would post however when it came to loading windows the system would just sit there and not do anything. Now that I got that working I am guessing my second question needs to be put into the wireless category...I'll do that now

Thanks for the Help

It would be of great help to others if you said what you did to get things working again.

I believe that he used Startup Repair :P

Maybe I should have been clearer. What error messages did he get, if any? Did he really use startup repair or was the fix something else in the troubleshooting tutorial I provided? Sorry. I didn't mean to cause any undue confusion with my post.
