Hi all, :D

I've got Win 7 Ult x64.

Like many others I've changed my welcome screen to one of my own choosing (250k)
Done it through regedit and windows (info). Done it properly.
However - bootup goes to a single colour screen with "welcome" then for once second to my chosen screen
(250K) and then quickly to a screen saver screen.

How can I make my bootup go straight to my chosen screen (250k)- stay there for 5 seconds and then go to a screen saver?

The log off/close down process is fine. It goes to my chosen file (250k) straight away.

Thanks in advance. :-)

How can we suggest a procedure to correct one that you did through regedit and windows (info) and that we don't know what you did?

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
I assumed every body who might reply to this inquiry would know how to change the Windows 7 welcome screen using System 32/oobe/info/backgrounds.jpg and the need for the jpg to be 250k or less. Then go to regedit - end up on Logon UI and change the
DWORD to 1.
That's what I did and it works.
However- I'd like to tweak my startup settings so my chosen startup screen (250K) remains for a few seconds before moving into my screen saver slide sequence.
Thanks.

Thank you.

This is what I have done.
My screen setting is 1920x1200.
So can I change the DWORD to 1.6 in regedit?
Is that what's suggested by Ideen Jahanshahi?

Robert
