I got this error after playing Day of Defeat for about 30 minutes. I ran the system file check and memtestx86 for 5 passes and both of those showed no problems. I ran the debugger and figured out it's the nvlddmkm.sys error. Which is apparently my video card. I have a nVidia GeForce 8400 gs video card. I checked their website and I'm running the latest driver. So now I'm stuck. I did all the basic checks so what should I check next. Or should I just wait-and-see since this is the first time its happened?
Any help is appreciated. Here are my specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.60 GHz
5 GB RAM
MSI Model KA780G MS-7551 motherboard
NVidia GeForce 8400 GS video card

Thanks

Have you ran a sfc/scan now to check for errors, or have you checked event viewer what the error is pointing to....

I ran the sfc/scan and it checked out good. I looked around in the event viewer but couldnt really locate what I was looking for.

See if you find any RED "X" in the event Viewer pointing to MS

Hello Welcome to SF,

I guess the issue is with your nVidia Display driver nvlddmkm.sys.
Uninstall the old drivers completely and download the latest driver from the webiste NOT from Windows Update.

This was the Critical error I found in the Event Viewer

I deleted all of my old drivers so I guess now I just wait to see if it happens again.

Curious as to why it happened though. Day of Defeat is definitely not a graphics extensive game.

Yah you cant just install new drivers over old ones you have to completely remove them..best program i found for this is driver cleaner pro. get that and wipe out old driver remains reinstall new driver and I bet crashes will cease.
